Value Added Tax and Customs and Excise

The Isle of Man is fully integrated into the United Kingdom Customs area with respect to customs and import duties. The Isle of Man Government operates a tax system under which VAT chargeable in the Isle of Man is reclaimable in the United Kingdom and vice versa. To comply with the regulations for Isle of Man registration, the financial records must be maintained in the Isle of Man. Naturally, we are able to provide a full registration and record keeping service for Manx corporate clients wishing to register for VAT in the Isle of Man, as, indeed, may companies incorporated in other jurisdictions. However, these latter cases are subject to review by the VAT Department when such applications are made.
